In the beginning...

Welcome to the first post of Blades and Bolsters... I am proud to be showcasing some of the knives I have worked on for your consideration.

Although this one isn't my first knife it is one I am very proud of. I assembled it from a blank from Two Fingers Knives in Twin Falls Idaho. I did custom file work on the tang in the horseshoe pattern and used buffalo horn and stabilzed black walnut with a red spacer for the grip. This knife was donated to the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America Rescue Raffle table held in Florida over the last week.

We received word that it brought in $400.00 in the Silent Auction...I am honored and humbled and frankly a little stunned. We put a value on the knife of $150.00.

In the mean time I have been working on some other items and will be posting those over the next several weeks along with some links to people who inspire me.
